EXETER, R.I. -- Firefighters knocked down a brush fire in the vicinity of 325 William Reynolds Rd. within minutes. A call came in just before 7:25 p.m., saying two houses might be in danger. Equipment for fighting forest fires was requested from the Department of Environmental Management, as well as another tanker and more hose. By 7:52, a dispatcher said, firefighters were mopping up. |
