The Dave Matthews Band, whose 2006 performances in Fenway Park were released as a live album, will play the ballpark May 29 and 30, concert promoter Live Nation announced today. Willie Nelson and Family will open both shows. The band will release the album Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King, the long-awaited follow-up to 2005's Stand Up, on June 2. You can request tickets at http://www.warehouse.davematthewsband.com/ through March 11. Tickets will be made available to American Express cardholders March 12 through March 17. They go on sale to the public Saturday, March 21, at 10 a.m. at http://www.livenation.com, at the Orpheum Theatre box office, 1 Hamilton Place, Boston, or by phone at (800) 514-3849.
