SCITUATE, R.I. -- The state police today arrested 30 people they allege are active in an organized criminal enterprise. Troopers, working with officers from Warwick, Cranston, West Warwick, Coventry and South Kingstown and with the Massachusetts State Police, conducted early morning raids at 25 addresses with arrest warrants for offenses including racketeering, narcotics, extortion, bookmaking and firearms.. Lt. Col. Stephen O'Donnell, second in command at the Rhode island State Police, said the arrests came as a result of an investigation that began last June. It is a continuation of last year's investigation, named "Mobbed-Up," that produced 25 arrests. O'Donnell said the current investigation employed wiretaps on the phones of Donald St. Germain, 54, of West Warwick, and Adolf "George" Eunis, 67, of South Kingstown. Through the intercepts, he said, the police concluded that St. Germain was involved in bookmaking and narcotics distribution and that Eunis, whom O'Donnell called a close associate of the Patriarca crime family, was involved in bookmaking activities. According to O'Donnell, St. Germain and Eunis decided to teach a lesson to a man who owed them a lot of money and they approached a number of people -- including state police Detective Christopher Zarrella, working undercover -- to assault the borrower. The assault, arranged by someone other than Zarrella, occurred Jan. 19 at a Shell station on Quaker Lane in Warwick. according to the police. The allege that it was carried out by Michael Sherman, 35, and Michael Lilli, 33, both of West Warwick, and that Jeremy Lavoie, 36, of West Warwick, was with them as a lookout. Zarrella was singled out for his work in infiltrating the alleged criminal organization. Two people are still being sought.

Why don't you go out and look for the people who murder people, instead of this petty little stuff. People in our Legislation commit worse crimes of thievery on a daily basis which is legal. Our legal system is pathetic!! Go catch a real criminal!!

Wow!
Are we Bankers lucky!
They catch a few people with some pills, a few gambling dollars, and some pot and they all get charged with many charges including RICO.
HA! HA!!
While us bankers can literally steal Trillion$ loot the U.S. Treasury itsef, and get away with it. Theres no RICO for us. Bankers as you can see are exempt. We want to extend our deepest thanks to law enforcement agencies for keeping the focus on two-bit wannabe "gangsters" while we steal trillions and nobody cares. We even want to thank the media for keeping the focus on these mickey mouse organizations they refer to as a 'criminal enterprise.' If it werent for them, they would eventuall have to focus on us, the BIG TIMERS.
No one can touch us. In fact, the government even gives us more! They just cant give us bankers enough money.
And we have totally bankrupted this country, destroyed your childrens and grandchildrens futures completely, we have singlehandedly destroyed the Real Estate markets, the stock market, thanks to our options fraud and put this country into a total Depression, although the lying government economists are paid to lie and say its only a 'Recession.'
There wont be any recovery, nor bailout, nor rescue. Your kids and grandkids better get used to coming out of college and using their degrees to get a job in McDonalds or perhaps more upscale like Wendys. Ha! Ha! Those will be the only jobs that they will be able to get, if ANY! And luckily for the women, prostitution is legal in RI, so the girls will always be able to find work, as long as they are 18. They will do well.
AND even the old folks will get it too! They dont know that the Stock Market is going to collapse shortly and that all Pension and 401(k) funds are all invested there. Goodbye Pensions! Grandpa, sorry, you will have to go back to work even at 75!
Well, I got to run now. Have to catch a flight to my destination to get on a Cruise ship to the Bahamas. Enjoy the winter! And try not to open up your grandkids piggy bank for the milk and bread money now! Bye suckas!

The first "organized criminal enterprise" the attorney general should try to shut down is the one run by the buffoons we keep re-electing to represent us in the state house.
