PROVIDENCE _ The Rhode Island Bar Association announced this afternoon that its president, Richard A. Pacia, has stepped down from the volunteer position for "personal and professional reasons that require his full-time attention.'' Pacia was appointed to a one-year term last July 1. Under the bar association's bylaws, Victoria M. Almeida, will perform Pacia's duties until her term as president formally begins on July 1. |
