The six-story building was damaged severely. Nov. 21, 2004: A suspected propane gas explosion rips through a house on Greenville Road in North Smithfield, injuring two. Feb. 11, 2004: A Wal-Mart in Newport was evacuated after an explosion and fire involving gas meters occurred behind the building. Feb. 7, 2004: A gas explosion severely damaged a house at 196 Eldridge St. and forced the evacuation of 30 nearby houses. Feb. 3, 2004: A gas explosion sent a fireball from the basement through the first and second floors of a two-family house at 2130 Tell St. in Providence, seriously injuring a 5-year-old boy and his mother. Nov. 3, 2000: A gas explosion leveled a house at 835 Jefferson Blvd., Warwick. The occupants were out at the time. May 18, 2000: A gas explosion destroyed a house at 56 Pembroke Lane, Coventry. No one was injured. March 12, 1998: Two city workers were killed and five other workers and two residents were injured when a two-family house at 59 George St., Attleboro, was leveled by a gas explosion, leaving only a set of concrete steps. A crew of seven city employees had been repairing a drain in the street in front of the house in a spot that had been marked "no gas." They were unaware that they had damaged the gas line. You forgot to include the incidents where trucks hauling natural gas had accidents and fire/explosions. I recall at least 2 in RI/nearby MA over the past few years.

There were two more in Mass in 2000. I remember because they were just before Mine happened on May, 18 2000.
