NORTH PROVIDENCE -- A 37-year-old man has been arrested on charges of felony assault stemming from an incident last week in which he allegedly kicked his wife in the legs and stomped on her head because she attempted to answer his cell phone while they were in bed.
Scott Patrick Coutu, of 5 Richard Rd., was taken into custody late Monday night after the police visited his home on a warrant, charging him with domestic felony assault, battery, disorderly conduct and refusal to relinquish a phone.
He was remanded to the Adult Correctional Institutions Tuesday after failing to post bail.
