LINCOLN -- Two masked men, one of them toting a gun, robbed the Albion Food Mart at 42 Main St. last night, according to the police. Just before 8:45 p.m., the men, who wore hooded sweatshirts and black ski masks, entered the store through the front door and one of them pointed a black handgun at the clerk, according to Lt. Raymond Bousquet. The second male went behind the counter. The armed male took the clerk's phone and ordered him behind the counter to open the register and then lie face down on the floor, the police said. The clerk was not injured, according to the police. The two men took an undetermined amount of cash, gift cards and cigarettes, Bousquet said. They fled the store on foot. The police ask that anyone who might have information regarding the robbery to call detectives at 333-1111. |
