PROVIDENCE -- Best-selling author Jodi Picoult will read and sign her new book at Hope High School on Wednesday. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and Picoult will read from her new book, Handle With Care, at 7 p.m. The event is being hosted by the high school's Rise and Read book club in collaboration with the Borders book store at the Providence Place mall. The book club also meets occasionally at Borders, which collected 400 books for the school library last year. The club is the brainchild of several Hope High School teachers and librarians who thought that a book club would be a great way to get teenagers enthusiastic about reading. In April, 600 people turned out to hear Picoult speak at the high school. As a special treat, she met with the book club before her reading.
