Assessing effect of stimulus bill on environment

How will the massive federal economic stimulus plan affect environmental issues and state agencies in Rhode Island?

That will be the topic of an environment and business roundtable scheduled for 3 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at Save the Bay headquarters in Providence.

Scheduled speakers are W. Michael Sullivan, executive director of the state Department of Environmental Management; Julian Dash, director of the Economic Development Corp.'s Renewable Energy Fund; Brad Crowell, environmental liaison for U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse; and Anthony Simeone, executive director of the Rhode Island Clean Water Finance Agency.

Chris Kearns of Environment Rhode Island will be the moderator.
