Steven Feinberg, executive director of the state's Film & Television Office, shared his thoughts as he was leaving the party. "We're disappointed Viola didn't win. But we were happy with the way they introduced her. That was classy." Viola was commended for the veractity and authenticity with which she played her role of a grieved mother in Doubt. "Viola didn't win the Academy Award," Feinberg said. "But she's Rhode Island's Academy Award winner."
