PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The city is hiring -- or will be. Mayor David N. Cicilline, Police Chief Dean M. Esserman, and Fire Chief George S. Farrell today will unveil details of a recruitment initiative. The conference will be held at 1 p.m. at the District 7 community police station, 207 Camden Ave., at the intersection of Douglas and Camden Avenues.
