PROVIDENCE -- A Johnston man is to be arraigned this morning on charges he assaulted a police officer. Charles Riggen, 24, of 35 Clinton St., was arrested Sunday at 1:45 a.m. after state police spotted him walking on Route 95 south near Exit 22. He was charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. |
