Watch out. Freezing rain has left roads slick in southern New England this morning. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory through 9 a.m., and many schools have delayed their openings.Freezing rain is expected to continue for several hours before changing to plain rain, the weather service said. The temperature in Providence is 30 degrees at about 7 a.m. and should reach 39 degrees. The wind will blow from the northeast at 7 to 13 mph. Check for delays, closings and more. |
