I think that the first lady looked absolutely lovely in both outfits. She looked classy and elegant. Oh, and by the way, I loved her gloves!!

All Michelle needed was a wreath of gold fig leaves on her head to complete her toga.

Michelle Obama looked breathtaking in the white ball gown, like a stunning prom queen. I absolutely loved it and I think there has been nothing as nice previously since Jackie Kennedy was the new first lady.

I wasn't thrilled with the greenish day ensemble, but still, with her height and amazing presence, Michelle carried it off better than almost anyone else (aside from a runway model) could. It was a bold choice on her part -- I'd rather see a little risk in fashion choices than blandness.

A more traditional red or blue outfit should have been the choice over that hideous color she wore during the day. What was it? Yellow? Green? The gloves were the worst part.

But, at night, she looked gorgeous. The dress was perfect - elegant and not over-the-top.

I adored the day outfit. I loved loved loved the color and coordinating gloves and sweater. I think she rocked it! I am so glad to see someone not afraid to step out of the box of boring red blue black. Not as crazy about her ball gown, I thought it was kind of summery and no Wow! factor. I think we have a stylish first lady who is not afraid to be true to her own likes. The children looked wonderful!

Loved the day outfit, hated the ball gown. It's so nice to have
a classy first lady.

Best of all, great to see a First Family that loves each other and behaves decently. How long has it been, you'd have to go back to the Carters.
