Journal Business staff Lillian Singerman Ross, of Cranston, a co-founder of Ross-Simon Jewelers, died on Saturday. She was 88. Born in Peabody, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Louis and Sarah Singerman and had been a resident of Rhode Island for 65 years. She was the wife of the late Sidney T. Ross. Mrs. Ross worked with her late husband in their family business, Ross-Simon Jewelers, which she helped him found in 1952. They worked side by side for almost 50 years. Funeral services will be held at Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel, 458 Hope St., Providence on Tuesday at 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Sidney and Lillian Ross Scholarship Fund, C/O the Bureau of Jewish Education, 130 Sessions St., Providence, RI 02906.
