NORTH SMITHFIELD -- MADD RI (the local chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving) will hold tonight its 26th annual candlelight vigil to honor those killed and injured due to impaired driving. Tonight's vigil will be held in the North Smithfield High School auditorium from at 7 p.m. Featured speakers will be Sylvia Bogusz, a South Kingstown teenager who was hit by a drunken driver last year; Rafi Rodríguez, whose father, Dr. Pablo Rodríguez, was also hurt in a car crash with a drunken driver; and Mary Pecchia, whose brother, David Moniz, was MADD past president who also lost a son to drunk and driving. |
