WOONSOCKET -- A Johnston man has been arrested on charges he stabbed another man outside a local pub after an argument, the police said. Rodney Patrick Lambert, 42, of 57 Lyman St., Johnston, was arrested yesterday and charged with felony assault with intent to commit murder. He was released on $100,000 bail with surety. The judge entered a no-contact order. Woonsocket Detective Lt. Timothy Paul said Lambert got into an argument with a 29-year-old Woonsocket man inside the Brickhouse Pub, 2120 Diamond Hill Road. Lambert and another man followed the man into the parking lot, where Lambert allegedly stabbed him five times with a folding knife, Paul said. No charges will be filed against the other man, Paul said. The police were called at 1:03 a.m. Lambert was arrested after officers noticed blood on Lambert's hands and clothes. The victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital. His condition is unknown. The police received differing accounts on the source of the argument.
