PROVIDENCE -- Looking for a bit of holiday cheer? Try the State House. Throughout the month of December, the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts is sponsoring a series of seasonal concerts in the building's rotunda. Today's musical offerings include a performance by the North Scituate Elementary School Chorus and another by Warwick's Hoxsie School Chorus. They're scheduled to perform at 12:30 p.m. "It's a great opportunity to showcase some of the great student musicians in Rhode Island," said Randall Rosenbaum, the council's executive director. "This year we're pleased to be presenting more groups than ever before." In total, 38 different groups will perform this month. All concerts are free and open to the public. |
