WARWICK -- Things were a little quiet at Kohl's in the Rhode Island Mall this morning.

Doors opened at 6 a.m., and while some customers rose early to take advantage of the after-Christmas sales, there weren't as many as usual.

"We're off to a slow start," said store manager Donna Verterame.

Verterame expects it will be busier later in the day.

My budget was tight before Christmas, I won't be out there today.

My dad and I went to the mall today for a couple Christmas returns.

Both of us were amazed that there were no crowds today - the day after Christmas! We even got a parking place right up front. The only place we encountered with a crowd today was... you guessed it - McDonalds.
