By Talia Buford The family and friends of Wojciech Fudali are organizing a search party tomorrow to look for the 22-year old who disappeared nearly a week ago.
Fudali, of Newport, disappeared the morning of Dec. 6 after spending the night at 71 East Shore Rd. in Narragansett. He'd attended a party there, and when his friends awoke Saturday afternoon, they found him gone. His clothes and belongings were still at the house. Narragansett police searched for three days, with the help of helicopters and police dogs, and had no luck locating Fudali. The effort is being spearheaded by a group of friends and family members, who have even started spreading the word through a group on Facebook called "Praying for the return of Wojciech Fudali." The group has 104 members so far. (Members can view the link). The search will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday in the area near Great Island Road in Narragansett. Volunteers should take a right turn at the stop sign toward Galilee, and meet in the first parking lot on the right. Anyone with canoes or kayaks is asked to bring those so the volunteers can search the marshy wetlands as well. |
