PROVIDENCE, RI -- A Boston man arrested this week in connection with a fatal shooting outside a Providence nightclub this month was arraigned today in district court on first-degree murder charges.

Dana Gallop of 692 Massachusetts Ave. was chargd with first-degree murder, felony assault and carrying a pistol without a license. He did not enter a plea as felonies are not prosecuted at the district court level.

Gallop is being held without bail pending a hearing on Jan. 13, according to court documents.

The Providence police said Gallop fatally shot gang member Anthony "Bundy" or "Bundl" Parrish, 24, also of Boston, outside Passion Lounge early on Dec. 14.

Gallop is a member of another gang in Boston, the police said, blaming the shooting death on an ongoing feud or dispute that spilled over into Providence.

Parrish was a member of the so-called Wainwright Street gang in Boston. Four members have been fatally shot since Nov. 26, according to the Providence police. The most recent slaying was Monday night, in Boston.

A bystander, London Hardy, 36, of Malden, Mass., was also wounded, the police said. Hardy was hit by a stray bullet as he stood outside a vehicle speaking to some people inside, according to the police.
