The 7to7 breaking news blog will ring in the new year with a day off. While we won't be blogging Thursday, New Year's Day, we will return to the job on Friday at 7 a.m. In the meantime, we will be updating the site as usual with stories from The Providence Journal newspaper, live national and world news, sports reports and any major local news.
