WARWICK -- A man claiming to be armed robbed the Dunkin' Donuts coffee shop at 860 Post Road early this morning, the police said. The police described the suspect as a white man believed to be in his 50s, approximately 6'2". He demanded money and said he had a gun, but didn't show one to the cashier, the police said. The man fled the shop in a black Nissan. The police said the same man may have robbed a Dunkin' Donuts on Jefferson Boulevard a day earlier. Both robberies remain under investigation. -- Journal staff writer Lisa Vernon-Sparks |
