R.I. agencies reach out to homeless in national effort

PROVIDENCE -- The third annual "R.I. Project Homeless Connect," connecting individuals and families with social, legal, and medical services, is being held today through 2 p.m. at Beneficent Round Top Center, 300 Weybosset St., Providence.

RI Project Homeless Connect, part of a national effort to connect the homeless with available services, is sponsored locally by the United Way of Rhode Island, the Rhode Island Coaltion for the Homeless and the state's Housing Resources Commission.
