LITTLE COMPTON -- The police this afternoon identified the woman whose body was found yesterday morning in Sakonnet Harbor as Bobbi R. MacCraken, 54, of 3280 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford, Mass. At 8:42 yesterday morning, the police got a report of a partially submerged 2005 Saturn Vue in water at the end of the boat ramp next to the breakwater, the police said. Firefighters pulled the body from the water. MacCracken was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to the state morgue at the Office of the State Medical Examiners, the police said. An autopsy was conducted this morning. No results have been released. Yesterday's news release described the case as a suspicious, sudden-death investigation. The investigation is ongoing. |
