CRANSTON -- A person traveling in a black Jaguar that crashed into a chain-link fence last night has died, the police confirmed this morning. The police would not release the name of the person who died at Rhode Island Hospital, or the names of two other people riding in the car. The accident happened around 10 p.m. yesterday off the Niantic Avenue exit on Route 10 north. Police said the car skidded over a grass median, through a chain-link fence and into the entrance way of a local business, Corp Brothers Inc., at 88 Niantic Ave. -- With reports from Journal staff writers Lisa Vernon-Sparks and Steve Peoples |
