NEWPORT -- This may just be your chance to own a piece of Newport's Bellevue Avenue mansions. Not the mansions per se, but rather some of the furnishings and other trinkets collected over a lifetime (or several) by the owners of Newport's troubled Belcourt Castle. Today and tomorrow, many of those items will be sold at auction, an upscale yard sale, shall we say, along with an online auction. Money raised will help pay for the mansion's preservation work. -- With reports from Journal staff writer Richard Salit |
