Some people dress for success. When Brian Hartley was picked up for drunken driving in Barrington, he was dressed for arrest. The 22-year-old Hartley, of 237 Oaklawn Ave., in Providence, told the police he was "going to the next party" after they stopped his car because he was seen swerving on Nayatt Road just after midnight Friday. He claimed he had had just one or two drinks. He was still wearing his Halloween costume, dressed as a convict. "I just want to pass out in my car," he was quoted as saying in the police report. Instead, he got the chance to do it in lockup. Hartley pleaded not guilty in Providence District Court Halloween morning and was released on personal recognizance. He is due back in court, most likely not in costume, on Nov. 12. CommentsLeave a comment |

I don't understand why the ACLU is sticking its nose into something that would BENEFIT the LEGAL citizens of the state by checking that someone applying for a job has the legal right to do so. Go ahead and put it to a public vote - from what I have seen, Mr. Brown's organization would be on the losing side, which would not be uncommon for them. How about protecting the AMERICAN'S CIVIL LIBERTIES (you know, those of us that are LEGAL)!!! Lately every time I see or hear ACLU mentioned I want to scream - it means some idiot is presenting a suit for illegals or criminals who they feel have had some "right" violated. As my octogenarian father said the other day - why are they even allowed to present these suits???
