NARRAGANSETT -- The Coalition for Water Security and the Washington County Regional Planning Commission will hold a forum tonight on water issues in South County. The forum, "Our Water Future: RI and Washington County," will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in the Corliss Auditorium on the University of Rhode Island's Narragansett Bay Campus. State Sen. Susan Sosnowski, chair of the Senate Committee on Environment and Agriculture, will make the opening remarks. Panelists will include:

It seems there needs to be some serious water conservation legislation enacted. I'm by means no fan of communism, but I think environmentalism is something that requires more of a socialist approach with much government intervention. The playing field is not level for technologies that support environmental conservation.
