You certainly won't need a sleigh to get to Grandma's house this year.

And you shouldn't have to throw on every warm layer you own to cheer your favorite high school football team on from the stands tomorrow.

The forecast for the Thanksgiving holiday in Rhode Island is on the bright side, with sunny skies, temperatures in the 40s and a light west wind.

It'll become partly cloudy in the evening, then mostly cloudy. Temps will drop into the lower 30s, with the wind shifting to a milder southwest heading.

Heading into a long weekend?

Friday should be cloudy, with a chance of rain, but temperatures moving up into the 50s.

Saturday, it clears out again, with highs in the 40s. And on Sunday, clouds return with a chance of showers increasing into the evening, and temps going down into the 30s.
