Today's front page features coverage of two key state Senate races. One is the Senate District 17 race between incumbent Democrat Joseph A. Montalbano, the Senate president, and Edward O'Neill, a political independent from Lincoln. The other is the District 13 race between incumbent Democrat M. Teresa Paiva Weed, the Senate majority leader, and Republican challenger Donna Perry, former executive director of the state Republican party.
