J.J. Barnes comes from a long line of Detroit soul singers. Here he does "Chains of Love."

Here, another band, the Dirtbombs, one of the many rock 'n' roll bands from Detroit, covers the song. If you like what you hear, they're scheduled to play in Providence on Saturday.

The Dirtbombs on Projo.com??? Wow! Brandie, you rock! UinG is a great album, as is their best of collection "If You Don't Already Have a Look". It's too bad the 'bombs aren't playing on their own in Prov.

Maybe we'll see some Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings on here soon. Great post-modern soul. O-Man supporter, too.
