Twitter: projo | RSS | Email alerts A Rehoboth, Mass., man died yesterday after he apparently lost control of his car, hitting the center guardrail, the Smithfield police said. The police are withholding the 67-year-old's name and address pending family notification. The police said the man, who was driving a pickup truck towing a landscape trailer, appears to have suffered a "medical emergency" prior to the crash. He was driving west on Putnam Pike, near Route 295, when he crashed around 5:10 p.m. No other vehicles were involved. He was riding alone. The man was unconscious when emergency personnel arrived. He was taken to Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence, where he was pronounced dead. |
