Providence Journal / WPRI.com Webcam Flooding, ferry cancellations, gale warnings, and maybe a touch of Tropical Storm Kyle -- they're all on tap today as a weekend of tumultuous weather begins. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch this morning. We're expected to get up to 2 inches of rain today -- and nonstop rain until Sunday -- and up to 6 inches by Monday. A flood watch means there is the potential for flooding, so you should watch drains and small streams for overflow. Be careful driving as some roads may become impassable. The Block Island Ferry has been canceled today due to "adverse weather conditions," and NWS has issued gale warnings. Winds have been gusting up to 40 knots already this morning. Saturday night we may feel some of the effects of Tropical Storm Kyle, which is expected to pass close by Nantucket and Cape Cod, bringing gusty winds and heavy rains.
