PORTSMOUTH -- West Main Road remains closed in the area of Union Street where a car rollover accident has sent a driver to Newport Hospital, according to Portsmouth police. As of 6:30 p.m., one police estimate had the road remaining closed, and traffic diverted, for at least another hour or more. Details of what happened were not yet clear, but the police said an accident reconstruction team is working on it, so traffic was being detoured.
