A Coventry man has been charged with stealing checks from mailboxes in Coventry and Cranston, Swansea police said today. Jonathan Perry, 25, of 26 Park Lane, was arrested by Coventry police yesterday. A Swansea police news release today said Perry was captured on video cashing a check at a St.Dominic's credit union in Swansea -- a check stolen from a Swansea resident's mailbox. -- projo.com staff writer Michael P. McKinney Perry tried cashing another check the next day after stealing it from another Swansea resident's mail. The photos from the credit union were posted on the Massachusetts Most Wanted and Rhode Island Most Wanted web sites. Swansea police said Perry will be charged with two counts of larceny under $250, two counts of larceny by check under $250, two counts of forgery, two counts of uttering a false check and identity fraud. Helping on the case were Swansea police Detective Marc Haslam and Inspector John Kehoe of the U.S. Postal Service's Boston division.
