The Rhode Island School of Design plans to go ahead with the grand opening celebration for the Chace Center tomorrow despite the forecast rainy weather. The Chace Center opens at 10 a.m. tomorrow. Admission is free. The opening offers people the chance to see the Chace Center's inaugural exhibition, Chihuly at RISD, featuring the work of Dale Chihuly, one of the world's premier glass artists. There will be other exhibitions, performances, hands-on activities, and live music, according to RISD. Although the full WaterFire planned for tomorrow night has been canceled, there will be a partial WaterFire. Read a review of the building. More information on the schedule and parking. |
