Jack Reed -- a voice on defense and foreign affairs whose name had made the veepstakes speculation list -- is slated to address the Democratic National Convention tonight. The convention this evening formally nominated Barack Obama as the party's presidential candidate. The convention schedule lists Reed second to last of those slated to speak at about 8:45 tonight. Reed will be preceded by Xiomara Rodriguez, a Nevada delegate and US Coast Guard member, and will be followed by Tom Daschle, the former South Dakota senator, according to the online convention schedule. Joseph Biden, the Delaware senator and Barack Obama's running mate, will address the convention later tonight. And former two-term President Bill Clinton is slated to speak.
