The National Weather Service has sent someone to Acushnet, Mass., to investigate weather damage to see if a tornado struck there this afternoon. Rebecca Gould, a meteorologist for the weather service's office in Taunton, Mass., said that around 8 or 9 tonight the weather service may have a report on its Web site.
