A dorm-room staple has been recalled after consumers complained that "foreign materials" were found in the food. Nestlé Prepared Foods Company is recalling 215,660 pounds of Hot Pockets pepperoni pizza. The 54-ounce, 12-pack cartons have a best before date of "Jan2010." Printed on the side of each carton is "8157544614D" and "EST 7721A." The products are distributed nationwide. The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service has not received any complaints or reports of injury, according to a statement. Anyone with questions about the recall can call the Nestlé Consumer Services Center at 1-800-350-5016. Other questions about food safety can be submitted 24 hours a day at AskKaren.gov, or call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline: 1-888-674-6854 Monday through Friday for recorded food safety information. -- projo.com staff writer Brandie M.
