A "flotilla" of private boats will set sail tomorrow to protest a proposed liquefied natural gas port in Mt. Hope Bay, state Rep. Raymond E. Gallison Jr. announced today. Gallison, a Democrat representing Bristol and Portsmouth in the General Assembly, said in the statement the vessels will sail at 11 a.m. Those expected to participate in the protest sail include Save Bristol Harbor, the Kickemuit River Council and the Environmental Council of Rhode Island, among others. Boats will gather at 11 a.m. at the "C" "1" green marker north-northwest of Spar Island. They will head to the Borden Lighthouse and return -- the area in which Weaver's Cove Energy plans to construct an offshore liquefied natural gas unloading platform, Gallison's statement says. -- projo.com staff writer Michael P.
