It'll be hot and probably muggy, but this weekend offers plenty to do. In Warren, there's the Quahog Festival -- lobsters, clams, chowders and, you know, quahogs. Also expect five bands, 65 crafts booths and a juried art show. The festival is 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday in Burrs Hill Park, off Route 114 in Warren. Admission and parking is free. WaterFire is tomorrow night in Providence, with the lightings slated to illuminate at sunset -- 8:16 p.m. The new Providence schools superintendent, Tom Brady, is expected to participate, Mayor David N. Cicilline's office said today. There's also reggae at the Ocean State Reggae Festival in Charlestown, the South County Hot Air Balloon Festival at the University of Rhode Island, and a taste of Japan -- in Newport. Check out the details of those events here. For more of what's happening, visit projo.com's collection of event calendars. |
