WARREN -- The police department today issued a missing persons report for a Baltimore Avenue couple who've been missing for more than a week. For the last three days, state police and Warren police have combed the home and backyard at 14 Baltimore Ave., where James A. Soares, 60, lives with his wife, Marian F. Soares, 53. A search dog was brought to the house Thursday night, witnesses said. Families members had reported the two missing on July 15, the Warren police said in a news release today. The release, in the form of a missing persons flyer, said that Warren and state police are investigating their disappearance. James Soares is described as white, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 160 pounds, with dark gray hair and brown eyes. Marian Soares is described as white, 5 feet 4 inches tall and 165 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Cars were parked in the home's driveway this afternoon. A lone Warren police cruiser and a state police crime unit van were also parked outside. The Warren police did not return Journal calls today asking for more information. State police have referred queries to the Warren police department. Anyone with information on the couple's whereabouts is asked to call Warren police Detective David Annunziata at ((401) 245-1311. -- Journal staff writer Meaghan Wims |
