The National Weather Service is warning of strong thunderstorms moving into the area and advising people to get inside before the storms. The storms have the potential to cause gusts up to 50 mph. and cause flooding. The storms were to be near Newport and Woonsocket by 11:10 a.m., Prudence Island and Pawtucket by 11:20 a.m and Warren and Portsmouth by 11:30 a.m. and Westport and Tiverton by 11:40 a.m. |
