This is what beaches and personal days are for.

And you can get to the beaches for free using a RIPTA bus or trolley because of an air quality alert. The Department of Environmental Management warns the air quality will be unhealthy today, with high levels of ozone near the surface, making it difficult to breathe, especially for those with asthma.

The National Weather Service is forecasting sunny skies and temperatures reaching 93 degrees. Humidity is high this morning, but should drop as the day goes on. We'll also have mild west winds increasing to between 13 an 16 mph.

There's a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms late tonight. Aside from that, temperatures are set to drop just to 71 degrees. Well also have southwest winds between 8 and 13 mph.

True to form, the clouds roll in just in time for the weekend. We'll have a slight chance of rain tomorrow afternoon, but rain or not, expect partly cloudy skies and temperatures hitting 95 degrees -- but feeling as high as 101.

We'll have the same chance of thunderstorms Saturday night -- 30 percent -- and cloudy skies. Temperatures should drop to about 72 degrees with calm, west winds.

It's the same story Sunday and Sunday night with a chance of isolated rain and thunderstorms. Expect clouds and calm northwest winds becoming southeast. Temperatures should reach 89 degrees during the day and drop to about 69 overnight.

Things don't look much better for Monday. There's a higher chance of rain -- 50 percent -- and temperatures set to reach just 79 degrees.
