PROVIDENCE -- Governor Carcieri, after meeting with Rhode Island clergy today about his executive order cracking down on illegal immigration, said there will be an advisory group to monitor how the order is carried out.

Bishop Thomas Tobin of the Diocese of Providence called the meeting with the governor today "wonderful and productive."

The order has drawn controversy from various groups.

The governor did not know what the make-up of the advisory group would be.

Carcieri said he is not rescinding the order, but will seek input about how it is being implemented from his advisory board.

Hang in there Governor Carcieri. It's time for these ILLEGAL ALIENS to return to their home country and get out of our Country.

No truer words were said, when you said, "IF YOU'RE HERE ILLEGALLY, YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE."

How can anyone argue with that?

All the very best, Governor Carcieri. I wish our Governor here in Delaware, Governor Minner, would issue an executive order to free our State of the 40,000 ILLEGAL ALIENS. They don't belong here, either.

This is an excellent idea, and should further reaffirm the fact that there is a tremendous need for this problem to be properly attacked and resolved!

However, I am sure that even with this Advisory Group being implemented you will not see the support given to it by the 'LEGAL' Hispanic Community, and all of the Bleeding Heart Do-Gooder Liberals in this State, that they should!!

And, if they don't, which I doubt they will, then shame on them all...as all they are doing is proving that they are also a part of the problem and really don't want to see it resolved, whatever may be their 'Fuzzy-Logic'!

Governor Carcieri, I believe in what you are doing is right. We cannot afford to let all the illegal immigrants to change the face of America. We need more governors, especially Governor Minner in the State of Delaware. We have too many illegals and they don't belong here. Illegal is Illegal and it's breaking our laws, but why are very few people doing anything about it. We need our borders secure because thousands are comming through monthly. This need to stop.

Congratulations, Governor. It's about time someone is upholding our laws. I'm all for LEGAL immigration - my grandparents all came here through the proper channels. I think giving these ILLEGAL, slide in through the back door, aliens free citizenship is a slap in the face of all the people who came (and are coming) here legally.
