WARWICK -- No evidence of foul play in the death of an 85-year-old man who was found in a field this morning, police said. He was identified this afternoon as John Medeiros, according to Warwick police Lt. Jeffrey Enos. The medical examiner has not yet made a determination of death and the investigation is ongoing. Earlier today, Capt. Matthew Costello said a truck driver spotted the body, face down, at about 8:15 this morning. Medeiros was in a field at 325 Hardig Road, near Sparrow Point Apartments. The location is just west of Route 95, between Routes 117 and 3. Costello said the apartment complex caters to the elderly and people with physical disabilities. -- projo.com staff writers Brandie M.
